Terms of Service

1. The Service

Nobami is an online office suite that lets you open, create, edit, convert and export documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDF files, and use AI features to draft, edit, translate and generate content. Many features run entirely on your device and do not require an account. Some features, such as cloud sync, version history in the cloud, share links and Nobami Cloud AI, require an internet connection and, in some cases, an account.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 14 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service, or have the consent of your parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your password secure, and all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at projectteamforyou@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal business purposes. Some components of the Service are provided under open-source licenses, and those licenses govern your use of those components to the extent they conflict with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Service, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where permitted by law or by an applicable open-source license.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents, data, prompts and other content that you create, upload or open with the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

If you use cloud sync, sharing or Nobami Cloud AI, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, convert and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide those features to you and to the people you choose to share with. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for copies retained in backups for the limited period described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to use it with the Service and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any law or the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy and publicity rights;
• create, store or share content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or terrorism, or harasses, threatens or defames others;
• distribute malware, phishing content or spam, or create fraudulent, forged or deceptive documents (including counterfeit official or financial documents);
• use AI features to generate content that violates the usage policies of the underlying AI provider;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, bypass rate limits, security or access controls, or access it through automated means except via documented interfaces;
• resell, sublicense or provide the Service, including Nobami Cloud AI, to third parties as a standalone service without our written permission; or
• attempt to obtain other users' content or personal information without authorization.

We may remove content or restrict access to features that we reasonably believe violate these Terms, consistent with applicable law.

6. AI features and output

AI features generate output automatically using machine learning models provided by third parties (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter) or by a local model you choose. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased or similar to content generated for others. Output is provided for your convenience and is not professional legal, medical, financial, tax or other advice.

You are responsible for reviewing output before you use, publish or rely on it, and for ensuring that your use of output complies with law and does not infringe the rights of others. Subject to the terms of the AI provider and applicable law, as between you and Nobami, you own the output you generate.

When you use your own API key (BYOK), you contract directly with that provider: you are responsible for complying with its terms and for any fees it charges. When you use a local model, you are responsible for its licensing and use. We are not responsible for the availability, behavior or policies of third-party AI providers.

7. File compatibility and third-party services

Nobami works with files created by other software, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Hancom Office formats. We work hard to preserve formatting, but we do not guarantee that every document will be displayed or converted exactly as in the original software. Keep backups of important files and check exported results.

Product names such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Hancom and Hangul are trademarks of their respective owners. Nobami is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by those owners. Links to third-party websites and services are provided for convenience, and their own terms apply.

8. Free and paid plans

The core features of the Service are provided free of charge. Free features, including the free Nobami Cloud AI allowance, may be subject to usage limits that we may change from time to time.

We may offer paid plans with additional features or higher limits. If you purchase a paid plan, the price, billing period and included features will be shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

Refunds are provided as required by applicable law. In particular, users in Korea may withdraw a subscription within 7 days of purchase in accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, except where the right of withdrawal is limited by law (for example, for digital content that has already been used). Purchases made through app stores are also subject to the store's refund policies.

9. Our intellectual property and feedback

The Service, including its software, design, logos, the Nobami name and templates provided by us, is owned by Nobami or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks. Templates we provide may be freely used and modified in your own documents.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Service. If you share documents or personal information of others through the Service, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.

11. Changes, availability and beta features

We continuously improve the Service and may add, change or remove features. We will give reasonable advance notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on, where practical. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, failures of third-party providers or circumstances beyond our control. Features labelled beta, preview or experimental are provided for evaluation and may change or be discontinued at any time.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss, or that AI output will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the law applicable to you as a consumer.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nobami will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) KRW 100,000 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

These limitations do not apply to liability arising from our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Nobami harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This section does not apply to consumers to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to prevent harm to the Service or other users. Except in urgent cases, we will notify you in advance with the reason and give you an opportunity to respond and to export Your Content.

After termination, synced content associated with your account will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Documents stored only on your device are not affected by account termination. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 9 and 12 to 18) will survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and announce the change on the website or in the app at least 7 days before it takes effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of, your country of residence.

Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact us at projectteamforyou@gmail.com so that we can try to resolve the dispute informally.

18. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Nobami regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with notice to you.

These Terms are provided in several languages. If there is a conflict between versions, the Korean version prevails for users in Korea and the English version prevails for all other users.
